A glacier seen from above is not what you expect. Dark Ice is a series of aerial photographs made over the Obersulzbachtal, where the surface of the ice breaks into a graphic language of cracks, lines and shadows. The color palette is almost monochrome: cool, precise, restrained. These images sit at the edge of abstraction without crossing it.
