I've been taking photographs since my youth. Back then it was simple: I wanted to make images like the ones in National Geographic. The kind that stop you mid-page. I'm still chasing that feeling.
I'm a structure person.
Lines, patterns, geometry. I notice them everywhere. That's probably why I keep finding them in nature too, in places most people walk straight past. Not because the subjects are hidden. Just because they're easy to miss: too small, too abstract, not obvious at first glance.
A patch of glacier ice up close looks like nothing. Change the angle, wait for the right light, get low or go high, and suddenly you're looking at something that feels almost designed. That's the moment I'm after.
Getting there is part of it.
I plan every shoot carefully. Weather, light direction, access, all of it mapped out before I leave the house. Most of my locations aren't easy to reach. Early starts, long approaches, sometimes waiting hours in the cold for a light that might not show up at all. I go back to the same spots again and again until I get what I came for.
It's not glamorous. But it's how the work gets done.
The print matters.
Once I have the image, I take the output just as seriously. Limited editions on Hahnemühle Fine Art Paper, hand-signed and numbered. 25 prints per image, total. Acrylic Glass and Aluminium Dibond for those who want something built to last without the edition limit.
I print on materials I'd buy myself. That's the standard.
